What fillers are?
Fillers are particular substances used, in aesthetic medicine, to correct skin imperfections, such as wrinkles or scars (from acne, surgery, …).
At the same time, fillers can be used to “fill in” certain areas of the face or body that have lost volume.
Currently, fillers are mainly used in aesthetic medicine to counteract the signs of aging and to give the face a younger look. In fact, they are performed in most cases to smooth out wrinkles, or to increase volume or to reshape areas of the face such as lips, cheekbones, chin and forehead.

The fillers are injected into the subcutaneous tissue and / or into the dermis using pre-filled syringes equipped with very fine needles. The injection of the filler is not an invasive procedure and it is not necessary to resort to any type of anesthesia to perform it. However, it must be performed only and exclusively by medical specialists in this area.
